Call for Applications to the Pan-African University

The Pan African-University has launched its first Call for Applications for the Academic Year 2012/2013. The Pan African University (PAU) is a premier continental University network established by Decision of the Summit of Heads of State and Governments of the African Union (EX.CL/579(XVII). The structure of the PAU includes five thematic hubs referred to as PAU Institutes; one located in each geographic region of Africa. Each of the PAU Institutes will be linked to ten PAU Centres under the same theme, located in different parts of the continent.

Call for Applications- International Partnership and Mobility Scheme (Africa)

Deadline: 8 February 2012

In an initiative developed by the British Academy's Area Panels, one-year awards of £10,000 and three-year awards of up to £30,000 are available to support the development of research partnerships between UK scholars and scholars in Africa. Awards cover any branch of the humanities and social sciences, and are intended to focus on collaborative research on a specific theme of mutual interest, rather than purely on establishing networks.

Erasmus Mundus Master in "Public Health"

The EUROPUBHEALTH Erasmus Mundus Masters course provides a high level education in the field of public health.

Its main goal is to enable the students to improve health of specific population groups and the population as a whole through :

the designing, planning, implementation, advising and assessment of health prevention and promotion programmes.
the management of health and social services and establishments.

It is designed to provide students with methods, analytical tools and conceptual knowledge required to understand public health issues.
